Sustainable Medical Infrastructure at CHIREC: First Schyns Implementation in Belgium

CHIREC, a prominent Belgian hospital network, offers a wide range of medical and surgical treatments, excluding heart surgery and interventional cardiology. With main locations in Delta, St-Anne St-Remi, and Braine-l'Alleud-Waterloo, and multiple outpatient medical centers, CHIREC is known for its high-quality, patient-centered care. The network emphasizes sustainability, modern infrastructure, and continuous staff training, with a particular focus on safety and respect for patient choices.

For their new building in Braine-l'Alleud-Waterloo, which includes approximately 150 rooms, CHIREC chose the Schyns Q-100 Integrativ Horizontal medical supply unit, a first in Belgium. This system offers a sustainable solution by combining functionality with aesthetics. The modular design of the Schyns Q-100 allows full customization to meet the specific needs of users, integrating lighting, electricity, gas, and data modules in a space-efficient arrangement. Its horizontal orientation makes optimal use of available space, particularly suited for critical care areas like intensive care units and operating rooms.

Along with its practical benefits, the Schyns Q-100 supports CHIREC's sustainability goals by providing a long lifespan and allowing for easy modifications and expansions, minimizing environmental impact. The sleek and modern design aligns perfectly with the professional appearance of medical facilities. VP Entreprise handled the delivery of this sustainable system, while installation was performed by Michel Theyskens, an experienced contractor specializing in hospital setups. His expertise and precision contributed to the successful integration of the Schyns Q-100 panels into CHIREC's care environment.
