Healthcare Renovation at AZ Maria Middelares – Phase 1: Innovative Healthcare Infrastructure

AZ Maria Middelares, with locations in Ghent, Deinze, Aalter, and Gentbrugge, is a prominent Belgian hospital dedicated to high-quality care, innovation, and patient experience. With more than 400 physicians and 2,500 staff members, it offers both general and specialized care, supported by modern infrastructure. The new building in Ghent, opened in 2015, reflects this vision with a focus on sustainability and efficiency.

For this project, VP Entreprise supplied the advanced Schyns FREE 02 bed head units from Schyns for approximately 800 rooms. These bed head units break away from traditional designs and offer optimal usability by integrating power, gas, and lighting into a sleek wooden bed head units with built-in lighting. Both general and targeted lighting are easily accessible, while the system is adaptable to various interior styles and complies with all medical standards. VP Entreprise ensured seamless delivery of these products, which was crucial for the successful execution of the project.

These bed head units were installed by Michel Theyskens, an experienced contractor specializing in hospital interiors. His expertise and attention to detail ensured the flawless integration of VP Entreprise’s products into the healthcare environment. The collaboration with Michel Theyskens not only guaranteed efficient installation but also the reliability essential in medical settings.
