Healthcare Renovation at AZ Maria Middelares – Phase 2: Collaboration for Optimal Patient Care with Innovative Lighting and Healthcare Technology

AZ Maria Middelares, with locations in Ghent, Deinze, Aalter, and Gentbrugge, is a leading Belgian hospital focused on high-quality care, innovation, and patient experience. With over 400 doctors and 2,500 staff members, it provides both general and specialized care, supported by a modern infrastructure. The new building in Ghent, opened in 2015, reflects this vision with an emphasis on sustainability and efficiency.

For this project, VP Entreprise supplied the innovative Q100 intensive systems, developed by our partner Schyns, designed specifically for intensive care environments where every second counts. These panels combine reliability with optimal ease of use, integrating power, gas, and lighting provisions into a flexible, modular system. This system offers both general and targeted lighting and is designed for maximum reliability and efficiency in critical situations.
The installation of the Schyns Q100 intensive panels was carried out by Michel Theyskens, an experienced contractor specializing in hospital design. His expertise and attention to detail ensure the perfect integration of our products into the healthcare environment. The collaboration with Michel Theyskens guarantees not only efficient installation but also the reliability essential in medical settings.

This project demonstrates how modern technology and skilled execution come together to optimize care quality at AZ Maria Middelares, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of the care environment.
